Frequently Asked Questions about Wheatpaste Posters
What is your poster turnaround time?
In 2002 we introduced New York to next day printing. Our investment in to multiple state-of-the-art large format printing presses allows us to run any poster run and any scale, faster than every before. Order your posters before 12pm and pick them up in only a few hours, next day! We ship USA-wide. There’s a reason why our poster competitors outsource their printing jobs to us.
Is wheat pasting posters illegal?
No, wheat pasting posters is not illegal. But posting posters anywhere that you don’t have a permit, permission for or block city and government property or information is illegal. If you’re looking to skip the legal work but still want to run wheat paste poster campaigns, our turn-key wheatpasting service is what you are looking for. Our street teams take care of the locations with our guaranteed placements and agreements with city and local land owners to make sure your posters are visible and not removed due to local laws.
How long do Wheatpaste posters last?
Actual wheat paste posters can last on a wall for years; our trademarked special paper for wheatpasting is ultra-thin but made from a very high quality card stock which matched with good glue should almost last indefinitely. Wheatpaste campaigns are another story. Typical flight lengths for posters are 2 weeks long however some busy areas in NYC can allow for 3 day campaigns until they are posted over. One of our sales team will be able to give you more guidance on your chosen locations.
Is it hard to remove wheatpaste?
Yes, wheat paste is very hard to remove. Starch paste permeates the paper fibers and becomes harder the longer you leave it. There is no way to remove it without destroying the paper, so typically posters are posted on top of old posters or scraped off with a chisel. Starch paste is chemically stable and innocuous over time to the paper, so leave it alone.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
