Choosing the right substrate affects durability, finish, visibility, and installation method. Each material is selected based on environment, longevity, and visual impact. Below is a list of the most commonly used materials for large format printing with direct-use recommendations.

  • 13oz Vinyl: Standard for outdoor banners; weather-resistant with matte finish.
  • 18oz Vinyl: Heavy-duty option for high-wind or double-sided banner installations.
  • Mesh Vinyl: Wind-permeable with perforations; ideal for fences and scaffolding.
  • Canvas: Matte, textured surface for high-end indoor graphics and photo reproductions.
  • Fabric: Lightweight polyester with vibrant dye-sublimation printing; used for trade shows or backdrops.
  • Coroplast: Corrugated plastic board; suitable for yard signs and short-term outdoor display.
  • Foamcore: Lightweight indoor board; best for temporary signage or presentations.
  • PVC (Sintra): Rigid plastic board; durable for both indoor and outdoor signage.
